November 14, 2025, Adrian, Michigan – In recent months, immigrants in the United States have faced challenging and sometimes frightening situations as a result of crackdowns on immigration law by the administration of President Donald Trump. Sister Attracta Kelly, OP, an immigration attorney, will address that situation and ways that concerned neighbors can be of help.
Sister Attracta’s presentation, What’s Happening with Immigration, is from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in the Auditorium of the Weber Retreat and Conference Center, at the Adrian Dominican Sisters Motherhouse Campus, 1257 E. Siena Heights Drive, Adrian.
Sister Attracta, Director Emerita of the Adrian Dominican Sisters Immigration Assistance Office, will speak about immigration law and some of the recent changes. In addition, she will discuss the rights of immigrants, how local residents can help their immigrant neighbors, and the best ways to respond should U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents come to a residence or a local organization.
The presentation is open to the public, free of charge.
