Writing Workshop Focuses on Starting from ‘Tiny Seed’ from Memory or Imagination

April 13, 2026, Adrian, Michigan – Every piece of writing starts from the “tiny seed” of a thought, feeling, or the imagination. This writing workshop, “From a Tiny Seed,” is from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026, in person at Weber Retreat and Conference Center or virtually through Zoom. 

Come join with others to see where your imagination will take you. Participants will write, read their work, and receive feedback on their strengths from one another. Sister Tarianne DeYonker, OP, a certified leader of Amherst Writers and Artists Workshops, will facilitate.

The cost is $35 and registration is required. Visit www.webercenter.org and click on “programs,” call 517-266-4000, or email [email protected]. Limited scholarships are available. A Zoom link will be sent closer to the workshop date.

Weber Center is on the campus of the Adrian Dominican Sisters Motherhouse, Adrian, Michigan. On East Siena Heights Drive, turn into the driveway between Adrian Rea Literacy Center and the solar panel-covered carport. Follow the signs to Weber Center. Writing Workshop Focuses on Options that Encourage More Regular Writing

February 9, 2026, Adrian, Michigan – Are you a writer who sometimes faces writer’s block, or have you gotten too busy to write? The next creative writing workshop explores options that encourage writers to show up and write more regularly, including accountability links and joining or creating a writer’s group.

The workshop, Too Busy to Write?, is offered from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 11, 2025, in person at Weber Retreat and Conference Center and via Zoom. Beginning and experienced writers are welcome.  

The workshop is facilitated by Sister Tarianne DeYonker, OP, MSW, a certified leader of Amherst Writers and Artists workshops.
