Social Justice

As Adrian Dominican Sisters, we recognize our partnership with the earth and its people and hear a global cry for justice. A commitment to justice and peace is more than words — spoken or written. It is purposeful action to create change. With our collective energy and voice, we strive to be an agent of change in communities nationally and internationally.

Through our Office of Global Mission, Justice and Peace we monitor social issues that challenge our Vision Statements, such as the death penalty, the School of the Americas and the war in Iraq. We make our voice heard on these matters by participating in peaceful protests, writing and dialoguing with government officials, and by collaborating in our efforts with other organizations that share our goals.

We invite you to journey with us on our quest for global social justice by learning more about the issues that challenge Gospel values and by standing in solidarity with us as we take actions to bring about systemic change.
