Are you an individual searching for a way to make a difference in the world? If so, you should consider becoming a Dominican volunteer. Dominican volunteers live in community with vowed Dominican religious and work side-by-side with poor and marginalized people in the central city and suburban and rural areas of the United States and the Dominican Republic. Contributing 10 months of service, Dominican volunteers may serve as teachers, community organizers, youth ministers, peace and justice advocators, health care workers or recreational coordinators.

The program is open to women and men who are married or single. Volunteers must have at least two years of college or work experience and are required to attend a one-week orientation session in August.
