About Us

The Adrian Dominican Sisters, an international congregation of more than 600 vowed women religious and 200 Associates, minister in 22 states, Puerto Rico, and four countries: Canada, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, and Norway. In all of our ministries—education, health care, pastoral and retreat ministry, the arts, social work, ecology, and peace and justice advocacy—we strive to live out our Vision: to seek truth, make peace, reverence life.

We trace our roots to St. Dominic in the 13th Century. With our Associates and our Co-workers, and with the other members of the Dominican family throughout the world, we continue our Dominican tradition of preaching through prayer, study, common life, and ministry.

A Living Journey

A Living Journey was produced for the Congregation’s 125th anniversary in May 2009. The 28-minute historical documentary combines text, poetry, historical photos, and music (composed and performed by the Adrian Dominican Sisters) to present a moving history of the Congregation. Copies of the DVD are available through Weber Gift Shop (517-266-4035 or Email: ).
