Aquinas High School, founded by the Adrian Dominican Sisters in Chicago in 1915, was one of the Congregation’s earliest sponsored institutions. Many Aquinas graduates later became Adrian Dominican Sisters.

In the early days, Aquinas High School students learned academics as well as practical skills, such as typing.
