Sister Patricia Siemen Speaks in TV Interview about Pope’s Encyclical, Rights of Nature

October 12, 2015, Orlando, Florida – Sister Patricia Siemen, OP, founder of the Center for Earth Jurisprudence, gave a live television interview on Pope Francis’ most recent encyclical, Laudato Sí. In the interview, Sister Pat speaks of the Pope’s concern about global warming and his special emphasis on developing a relationship with all of Earth’s community – human and non-human – as well as concern for the poor, who are most affected by global climate change. 

Sister Pat will be in Adrian on Thursday, October 15, speaking during the afternoon session on the Paris climate change talks scheduled for December 2015. Her session will be part of a day of education on issues surrounding Care for the Earth, held in the Common Room of Weber Retreat and Conference Center at the Adrian Dominican Sisters’ Motherhouse Campus.
