I work within the Secretary Office of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of San Fernando. My work usually involves organizing the Archbishop’s schedule, dealing with people and priests who want to set appointments, and ask him to celebrate masses/sacraments. I am also in charge of maintaining the Office of the Secretary. Basically, my work revolves around the extension of the Archbishop of San Fernando.
I love sports. It fascinates me watching basketball on national television or live arena. I play badminton and volleyball. I like to be active always like jogging or biking. I love music. I’m into sketching also. I love to travel. I like theology. And most especially, I love teaching.
What drew me to the Adrian Dominican Sisters
I always believe that God has brought me here. It was never my plan to be an Adrian Dominican Sister. I always thought of joining the Franciscan Contemplatives in our place. I was first introduced to their community when I was young. During my first year of teaching, I taught in Holy Rosary Foundation, Tala, Caloocan City, which was administered by the Congregation. Teaching there, I get to be acquainted with the Sisters’ lifestyle because I stayed in their convent. When I decided to enter religious life, my mother would not allow me to enter the Contemplatives and so I decided to join the Adrian Dominican Sisters. God has a plan, which is why I am an Adrian Dominican.
What excites me about religious life today
I get to know different people, different personalities. I strive to always be kind, good, and generous. Religious life changes my perspective towards life, God, people and myself. It excites me of the many possibilities that it can do to a person, especially the possibility of self-formation.
My dear Sr. Michelle:You made me smile deep-down when I read your story and saw all the wonderful pictures. They all together spoke of your youthful vitality and of hope for ministry in the Philippines. May your enthusiasm and dedication deepen in whatever ministries to which you may be called. Keep on smiling.
