The Gabriel Richard Riverview Class of 1980 was Blessed with Sister Ruth Anne Kelly for all four years of High School. She was Loved by all and feared by those that crossed her. She was a wonderful teacher that taught so much more than just the subject assigned to her. She taught Life Lessons with compassion, strength and courage. She was fair, firm and consistent with a great sense of humor. Rest in peace Sister Ruth Anne, I am sure the Good Lord Welcomed you home as Good and Faithful Servant. May your soul and All the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.

Sr Ruth Anne was my favorite teacher at Gabriel Richard High School in Riverview. She was an inspiring instructor who helped me learn the subject matter in an interesting and lasting way in each of her classes. Sr Ruth Anne was a great Student Council advisor as well. She taught us to enjoy each day but to keep our minds and hearts focused on the future, and on how we could make a positive impact on those who needed us most. She introduced us to the Adrian Dominican Motherhouse by scheduling school retreats at Weber Center. In part because of her influence I attended Siena Heights University and have worked with the Adrian Dominicans in some capacity for over 30 years. Her laughter and love of life inspired me and will remain with me always. Her life story photographs are lovely--I remember her with Sr Berchan and Sr Cecile. Great GR memories!

I think I would still recognize her today. Also knew that was Sister Matthew in the picture. Loved her. God bless.

The girls at Regina High in Harper Woods loved Sister Ruth Anne; she joked with them and reflected the beautiful religious life she led for them. Joyful always is what I recall when I think of her influence. She's adding to heaven's joyful chorus.
